Choose Life or Death continued...

Old bodies made of flesh, bones, and blood will not be restored from the same elements that originally housed souls. We who are in Christ will be given new bodies designed to function on Earth and in Heaven.

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.”  1 Corinthians 15:50
Before this generation comes to an end, the last trump will be the beginning of the resurrection as promised. The “time” between death and restoration for millions of souls who have been sleeping for centuries will be only a fraction of a second. Just like souls leave their bodies at death, they will leave Earth to receive new bodies when they go to join the heavenly host. The shortness of  “time” for transformation of those who are still alive in Christ will impact civilizations like never before.

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”  1 Corinthians 15:51&52

Changes created when souls of saints are taken will result in bodies made of dust being left behind. Bodies will not be taken as many Christians believe, but will remain to be inhabited by evil, flesh sustaining forces – just as the swine became the habitat for demons. We know that the Spirit of God became a “quickening spirit” for Jesus, but the idea of Satan using his power to impart evil spirits into the dead earthly bodies of departed saints is only one of many divinely conceived ideas not revealed in Holy Scripture.

After the catching away of righteous souls, familiar Christian “bodies”
will remain alive, and will suddenly began to display cunning personalities. Popular religious leaders will be eagerly supporting the Antichrist with complimentary words, covering him with prestige, and allowing his brand of blasphemy to pollute the international media. Participation by fools within evil systems that reinforce his credibility will turn the Evil One into a hero among the masses. It will ultimately be lust for death during attempts to dominate nations that will reveal the true nature of Satan incarnate during the latter part of the tribulation. 

Meanwhile, the last trump might go on for months or even years!

We have no manmade calendars to tell us when the “dead in Christ” will be retrieved from Earth. Only a Holy Spirit inspired prophet would be able to tell the Body of Christ when it happens. We do know that death will not be defeated until after good souls are taken, yet scholars realize that the process used to transform the mortal to immortality has not been clearly explained in Scripture by God. Faith in His power is necessary to contemplate the complexity of what will be done.

“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."
1 Corinthians 15:53&54

It is the “spiritual” part of humankind that is the most mysterious!

Just as there can be trillions of cells in a fleshly body, we can speculate that there might be trillions of spirits in a soul. Even though no mention is made in the Bible to clarify the size, shape, or number of every good and bad spirit in existence, it would be safe to presume that comparisons to the “sand of the sea” would be a good place to start counting.

"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the NUMBER of whom is as
the SAND OF THE SEA."  Revelation 20:6-8

We have no record to indicate how many good or bad spirits are presently performing their duties, just as we do not know how many stars are in the universe. Even so, it would be foolish to guess how many stars are shining beyond human vision, or how many spirits are fulfilling a multitude of purposes beyond human awareness in the lives of billions of people.

We do know that a legion of evil spirits possessed one man who confronted Jesus, and so we can speculate that 2,000 good or bad spirits can possess anyone!

Does any rational person believe that only Satan has willing “spirits” to do his bidding? If “devils” can enter a man, wouldn’t God have even a greater ability to impart His created spirits into human flesh to perform His will?

(1) "And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the UNCLEAN SPIRITS went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and were choked in the sea."  Mark 5:12&13 

(2) "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the SPIRITS OF DEVILS, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
Revelation 16:13&14  

(3) "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to SEDUCING SPIRITS, and doctrines of devils..."  1 Timothy 4:1

(4) "But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all MINISTERING SPIRITS, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"  Hebrews 1:13&14

Since God is the “Father of spirits,” how many “ministering spirits” or angels should we presume He created? Maybe we could start with a rough estimate of six billion souls, more or less, with 2,000 spirits each?

"Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the FATHER of SPIRITS, and live?"  Hebrews 12:9

How many angels were cast out with Lucifer by God? And where would these demonic “fallen angels” be found on Planet Earth when doing their best to deceive humankind if not in souls?

Can we assume that bad spirits are found in living souls right along beside good spirits? While spirits from God are attempting to enlighten us with Truth, spirits from Satan are doing their best to interfere with various versions of deception through our minds!
