Volunteer Center

Visitors to the Elijah Lifestyle Center will be able to use the Volunteer Center as a gathering place. Personal interaction among others who share faith in God will be done in the form
of conversations, game playing and buffet-style meals. Emphasis will be on the free food prepared for guests once a day as a way to thank them for their friendship. The "sounds" coming out of this place will be streamed over the Internet to people who want to learn how Christians stay happy while loving their neighbors!

In one corner, a spotlight will be shining on a microphone. Visitors will be able to say "Hi, world!" -- or tell listeners why they are Christians. Spontaneous testimonies will show everyone why it is okay to be honest, good to be original and exciting to enjoy freedom of speech in a polite way. Just like grandparents kept their ears glued to old-time radio programs, we hope the informality of this VC broadcast will be equally popular!

In another corner, we will have a piano (and other instruments) for visitors who like to make music. Many Christians know many good songs and will be able to sing whenever they get in the mood. Even though soft background music will be playing continuously for the pleasure of guests, there will be a "turn
off switch" so it will not interfer with live sounds made by musicians and vocalists who happen to be visiting.

"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:18-20

When two or more people gather together at the Volunteer Center in the name of Jesus, He will be there to share Truth, Love and Beauty! God comes to us anywhere we are when we ask Him into our hearts. The peace, joy and serenity of His presence gives us a reason to worship Him like we do. There is no reason why the goodness we experience as Christians cannot be enjoyed by others who are far beyond the walls of buildings.

Pray that sales from a PROCLAMATION CD and a MIDNIGHT SUNLIGHT book will make the Elijah Lifestyle Center possible! On Planet Earth, dreams seldom come true unless we have enough money, enough generous friends who make it happen -- or God intervenes in a miraculous way! Until we see how this project will turn out, maybe you can use these "ideas" to do good right where you are!

Christian lifestyles seem to be in need of change. Too many of the wrong choices are being made innocently, because we are all gullible creatures who tend to be very impressionable. As we know, "advertising" invades our privacy everytime we read a magazine, listen to the radio or watch television. It might be best if we started asserting our independence and decided to live our daily lives according to the will of God.
