Subject: The Sabbath Day? Author: E Date: 12/8/2002 8:29 am CST The following is an E-mail I received from the "Cyprus Elijah" in regard to the Sabbath Day. This is an example of reasons we have had so much confusion -- leading to separation among those of us who profess to be children of God. If you decide to take the time required to carefully read all of his comments and verses, you will either agree or disagree -- depending upon your own understanding. There are portions where I find reason to agree and portions where I find reason to disagree. I will express my abreviated thoughts on the meaning of the "Sabbath Day" in my reply to his message. As we know, God will be the final judge regarding who among us is right or wrong -- no matter what the doctrinal differences. NOTE: Just in case you are wondering, I have no sense of arrogance, anger or competition with other people who claim to come in the name of "Elijah." Many times I have prayed that God would take my Life rather than allow me to lead souls astray -- if I am not who I claim to be. I repeat this prayer today! What is sin? I John 3:4 to 10. Paul knew the truth. Galatians 4:14. Every person in our heavenly Father's kingdom above are angelic persons, spiritually that is, made in the image of our heavenly Father and His Son. Colossians 1:15 = Romans 8:29. I John 4:13, all of one Holy Spirit as His Family. Romans 8:11, 14. When He gathers His Family in a moment of time, I Corinthians 15:50-51 will happen and you will raise as angelic beings, as all in heaven are. For it is written, EVERY ONE, Mark 12:25, in the first resurrection that is, Revelation 20:6, whose names are written and remain until He calls His very elect chosen and faithful soon, Revelation 7:14, soon for when the devil is set free by the Lord to come up and draw this world of rebellious people to be joined to him in judgment as written in John 16:11. The prince of this world, that is, will be set free as written, by the Lord, Revelation 9:1 + 11, Revelation 13:1-2, 5 to 18, Revelation 17:8, So as most people turn away from God to the love of this world and its lust, then II Thessalonians 2:9-11. We can see why He is going to reject them who used to be Christians even, II Peter 2:1 to 3 + 17 to 20, to one day hear, I do not know you anymore, even them who have let money and self glory corrupt them. Best be completely dead to self if you want to be accepted by Him as Lord and Saviour, and to be quickened by the Holy Spirit alive in you as a wise virgin, all lit up for His angels to see you, to gather you up to Him above. Romans 8:11, Revelation 18:23-24. Brethren, who in fact was the person of the antichrist's in Daniel 7:25? Why, emporer Constantine of Rome. I John 2:18-23. He changed the commandment of our true God's holy sabbath day unto his unholy sun god worship day of rest as a counterfeit. People are wondering if the purpose of God for this day is literal or symbolic. They are wondering which day on which calendar should be accepted as the “seventh” day. As a result of doctrinal differences between the many who profess to serve the Lord on this special “day,” Christians are divided. This must not be allowed to happen any longer. The only reliable source for reference is found either in Holy Writings as translated in the King James version -- or in the inspired communications made possible by God’s chosen prophets. Historic documents giving accounts of Sabbath Day traditions throughout the centuries are worthless and should not be accepted as indisputable confirmation of God’s intentions. Many people in many nations have created religious and political institutions based on fallacious practices purporting to be based on God’s Holy Word. This is the relevation that Tennessee Elijah brings to you: The Sabbath Day is every day and can be any day for different people! This means that the children of God can worship Him according to His desires on any day found on the calendar. In a literal sense, the “seventh” day of rest is the day that follows “six” days of work for each man who is husband and father over a household. If a man begins his 6-day work schedule on Tuesday, the Sabbath Day for his family will be Monday -- not Saturday or Sunday. When we contemplate the Sabbath Day within the context of different cultures, men who honor the desires of God should: (1) Work six days each week in support of their personal domain. Their domain should consist of a wife or wives, children, servants, various animals, plants, land, water, buildings and other properties made possible according to the success of their endeavors. (2) As a man remains in servitude to God and to those within his domain, those within his domain should remain in servitude to him. (3) On the seventh day after six days of work, each man of God should rest with his family and servants, isolating his domain from outside visitors, outside communications or other distractions. Rest on that day should include commemorations of God’s six-days of creation -- understanding that one day for God is as one thousand days for humankind. Therefore, on our Sabbath Day, we should worship God according to the blessings He has provided. When we rest on our Sabbath Day, we should anticipate the thousand-year reign of Christ which will immediately follow the tribulation. As we know, Jesus is God and His day of rest will be shared with His obedient children -- once evil is defeated at Armageddon. If we were to evaluate current laws, cultures, customs, traditions -- political, economic, religious or otherwise -- that are presently dominating nations, we would be witnessing satanic systems designed to turn people away from God. The existence of evil should not be used to legitimize rebellion against the Laws of God. Humankind has been deceived and we are experiencing chaos. If we are persuaded to corrupt the purposes of procreation, marriage, families, governments, economic principles, political philosophy, religious practices and societal standards that cause us to think and behave the way we do -- then is it any wonder that the Sabbath Day has been transformed into an abomination? Those among us who willingly hate -- and even kill to defend false gods and false religious traditions -- will mock this message. They will call me a heretic, a trouble-maker, and will deny that there is anything wrong with the way they choose to practice their beliefs. Most Christians who are accustomed to gathering together on Saturday or Sunday will resist making changes -- no matter what I say to correct their ways. I say, Let them gather together every day except the Sabbath day! Jews who go to the synagogue, Muslims who go to a mosque, and all others who claim to believe their version of God is correct will ridicule what they believe are erroneous ideas. As I have said many times through the years, “Planet Earth is my Church and Life is my religion.” Christ is Life within all of us -- whether we understand or not, whether we believe or not -- and whether we repent of sin or not. My dear friends, as you consider a radical departure from conventional thinking on ideas pertaining to the Sabbath Day, realizing that it would take a book to properly put this subject into perspective, please use the Bible to either support or refute me. Do not be too quick to dismiss what I say. Unless the Bible is proven to be wrong beyond a shadow of doubt, this is what true children of God should believe: EXODUS 20:8-11 -- “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. The spirits that swirl within souls, churning and channeling themselves through neurological impulses, being manifested through words and numbers give us a sense of who and what we are as eternal beings. Over twenty years have passed since my proclamation of 1982. The number of days between then and now have been counted. Though God has given messages to be shared, they have not been received or believed by nations. Now the time has come in my mission for a transition. Since only one person in all of these years has acknowledged my existence on this planet up to this point in time, and was used by the Holy Spirit to identify the Elijah Spirit within me, only that person will have access for personal debate after January 1, 2003. All others who are searching for understanding or guidance should do as I do. Let all people take their doubts, fears, requests or questions to God in secret communion instead of to me. This is a glorious day for every lover of life. The Golden Throne will soon emerge from this watery cavern where history was forgotten. If it were not for the urchin of Bethlehem, there would be no need for repentance on the altar of Abraham. His children are free from rebuke. Only the fire of Magog can erase the shame of Jacob. Given the nature of perdition, it is only fitting that some semblance of righteousness be allowed to compensate for the enormous wrong done in the name of King Herod. There is music in the hills above Jerusalem where the old man of Samaria is dancing with young girls, laughing at his enemies and looking forward to eternity.
