Subject: GARBAGE DUMP Author: E Date: 9/1/2002 10:49 am CST Has America become the garbage dump of the world? Have lax immigration policies and undefended borders allowed trash to blow across our land? This may explain some of the degeneration taking place within our society. However, the same corrupting influences that come from elsewhere can be found coming from within. The majority of our citizens may not represent the values of conservative Christians, the values of the far right, the values of the honorable conservative minority -- or the values of the so-called radical fringe that many critics refer to as "religious fundamentalists." If this be the case, then very soon we will all be witnessing more tragedy in the form of a terrorist attacks, turmoil on Wall Street and conflict on the streets. (God will back off and let Satan do his thing). Christians do not like garbage dumps and will vacate rather than attempt to tolerate the stench! Trust me on this one! ................................................................................................................................................... NOTE: After receiving the following E-Mail, I decided to take the challenge and consider what Isaiah 58 had to say about our contemporary experience. Subj: Lift up your voice like a trumpet Date: 9/1/02 3:45:53 PM Central Daylight Time From: Carpenter144 To: EEEEEEElijah Thank you my brother! Christ's love and mercy is upon us! My wife and I were just meditating on the Lord's meaning were in the book of Malachi 4:5, the Lord say's 'Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.' Elijah, are you a repairer of the breach? Does your light break forth like the morning? Will you discuss the message the Lord reveals in Isaiah chapter 58. Is it a guideline? A way of life relevant to the time of Isaiah and our own? I need to be sure I understand how the lord wants me to serve him. I know the Lord has placed this calling upon me to serve Him through this task. My wife and I will continue to meditate on his word and pray! So thanks for the timely and kind reply to my message. Richard and Jan Carpenter ISAIAH 58 Verse 1: “Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” E>Knowing that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, we can believe that His Holy Words have meaning for us in this day. It should be important for all who serve Jesus to suppress timidity, to confront those who rebel against the Laws of God in a respectful, calm and loving way -- and to identify the “sins” of those who descended from Abraham. Rejection of Christ is a sin! Verse 2: “Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.” E>Having the desire and the manner of a seeker of Truth is good -- yet to become argumentative over doctrinal differences does nothing to enhance our joy as servants of the Master. We must learn to let God be God. Verse 3: “Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.” E>To withhold nourishment from our body for the sake of attaining purity in the solitude of our communion with the Father does more for a soul than for our esteem among those who are unaware of our sacrifice. During this time of “fleshly crucifixion,” the Holy Spirit is given freedom to rule over our thoughts and activities. Verse 4: “Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.” E>The choice to fast must be motivated for reasons that are holy and worthy of honor -- and not merely to gain an advantage for the sake of appearing pious or privileged as we attempt to influence antagonists. God will not reward us if we reach out to Him with false, pretentious requests. Verse 5: “Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?” E>Each of us should question the deepest intent of our heart as we consider whether or not our “fast” is acceptable to the Lord. This is more than a “ritual” or a “tradition” that we follow -- and it is not a method we engage during attempts to lose weight or appear humble. Verse 6: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” E>We can appeal to God for various reasons as we practice a “fast” during secret communion. It is like a special prayer that emphasizes needs or desires as well as being a form of worship. Verse 7: “Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?” E>Thinking in both personal and international terms, should we not care more about those who are in poverty, those who may need shelter, food or clothing? And should we not be willing to interact with our “children” and neighbors if they so desire? Verse 8: “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.” E>God's Light shines -- even when those who hide in darkness fail to see. Those who are blind to Truth often resist opening their perceptions to what is before them. Health of a soul has ramifications for the flesh -- yet it is the “power” we gain to do battle with evil that is more useful. And as the Holy Spirit emanates into the environment of those who have been glorified by the Lord, the “reward” will come as we witness spiritual transformations of those we encounter. Verse 9: “Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;...” E>It is a humbling experience to know that God will respond to us personally if we avoid the temptation of taking credit for what He does in our Life. Verse 10: “And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:...” E>God is not attempting to appeal to our weakness by suggesting that we will become the “center of attention” if we abide by His rules of conduct. It is the Light within and without that will be the focus for those who need deliverance. Verse 11: “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” E>A “soul in drought” is a soul without a “link” to the Mind of God. We must remain subservient and loyal to His will if we are to be “like a spring of water” which is capable of bringing spiritual nourishment to those who thirst. Verse 12: “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” E>In this present world, we are muddled down in a maze of confusion. The “bind that ties” the children of God together has been severed by the Evil One. Doctrinal differences will continue unless Truth is restored to those who have broken vessels. Water does not flow freely through plugged pipes! Verse 13: “If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words...” E>Every day is like the sabbath for those who worship the goodness of the Lord. We show respect and honor when we place our thoughts and activities on His altar. We are not above Him, and our “Life” should be His Life. Even though some are living as though there is no tomorrow, tomorrow is coming -- and we must be ready. Today is the Day of the Lord and He shall rule in it forever! Verse 14: “Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” E>The Kingdom of God with the New Jerusalem at the center will be revealed during this final generation -- just as the prophets promised. Meanwhile, there is much to be done! May we all do our duty as God desires. His ways are not our ways -- just as my ways are not your ways. In our differences, we nourish each other. May God bless you, Richard and Jan Carpenter! ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: A SPIRITUAL WAR OF WORDS Author: JamesEPReesor (A screen name -- "legal birth name" used by Elijah) Date: 9/3/2002 6:15 am CST The communication crisis on the Internet is a tragedy of immense proportions. Link after link is saturated with heathen-like mutterings, an evil disproportionate emphasis regarding current events and incoherent rambling points-of-view that are nothing less than verbal homicide. The murderous acts of verbal terrorism against reality and common decency result in the suffocation of free spirits, the eradication of free thought and the extermination of righteous souls. Words are being used like bullets, shattering the tranquillity of rational perspectives and mortally wounding the very substance of intelligent reasoning. As I lay bleeding on this spiritual battlefield where enemies confront each other daily, if I am to die before the end of this war, please record this holy acronym for posterity: JIGROP! ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: The 7/70 Plan Author: E Date: 9/4/2002 8:39 am CST Point 1: If we are going to offer compensation for work performed, we need laws to establish a "maximum wage" for those who are ambitious which is based on a realistic "minimum wage" for those who are content with less. Point 2: We need to revamp the whole economic system, our culture and our American laws to support the "The 7/70 Plan." This plan would have the effect of treating all citizens -- 7 years-of-age or younger and 70 or older -- as though they are the elite within our society. Our national resources and national institutions would assure that citizens in this age group would be treated like "kings and queens." All others within the ages of 8 through 69 would be considered "Majority Providers" with equal opportunities and shared resources. In other words, we would be taking the best of what is known as "Capitalism" and the best of "Socialism" -- merging certain aspects of both into a new system that would function democratically. Point 3: We need to focus on essential Life sustaining forces emanating from beyond this earthly dimension. Before we can educate, create, produce or achieve satisfaction in a meaningful way, "international endeavors" must be based on sound reasoning. As some of us already know, God is our Source and He is our Sustainer. Without Him to inspire, guide or protect, Americans -- along with people in all nations -- will continue to struggle without resolution to existing problems. Remember, "Without vision, people perish!" ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: UN INSPECTION FARCE! Author: ELIJAHISBACK (A screen name used by Elijah) Date: 9/9/2002 6:37 am CST THE UN INSPECTION FARCE! By Tennessee Elijah These past weeks, talk of UN inspections in Iraq seem to be the reason for postponing a preemptive strike against Saddam's regime. Liberal Demoncrats and most nations of the world seem to favor this so-called "legal" approach to determining the extent of Saddam's arsenal. In my considered opinion as a humble prophet, weapons of mass destruction under the control of that narcissistic maniac are not confined between the borders of his dictatorial domain. With the cooperation of African Arab's, Muslim extremists and other mercenary internationalists, Saddam has managed to hide his arsenal in many locations. So, the suggestion that a few UN inspectors could make a credible difference in the discovery and/or destruction of weapons of mass destruction is a ludicrous farce. Al-Qaida can be found in over 60 nations and the "fingers" of Saddam reach through this network of evil! Like ants, they have carried their loads -- and like serpents, they will strike at the "heels" of adversaries. Only God can stop them now! Let all nations repent -- and may the Lord God preserve them when the fires rage! ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: TalkTalkTalk Author: Saved Soul (A screen name used by Elijah) Date: 9/13/2002 6:11 am CST NOTE: These words are from Matthew 12:36&37 -- "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: Let There Be Light Author: E Date: 9/15/2002 5:12 pm CST Not so long ago, there were intelligent people who would have believed that talk about "light" was an idea only for dreamers, fools or crazy people. If they had been told about movies, television or computers in the early 1800's, how would they have responded to that kind of "prophetic" news? "Like Ben Franklin, Thomas Alva Edison was both a scientist and an inventor. Born in 1847, Edison would see tremendous change take place in his lifetime. He was also to be responsible for making many of those changes occur. When Edison was born, society still thought of electricity as a novelty, a fad. By the time he died, entire cities were lit by electricity. Much of the credit for that progress goes to Edison. In his lifetime, Edison patented 1,093 inventions, earning him the nickname 'The Wizard of Menlo Park.' The most famous of his inventions was an incandescent light bulb. Besides the light bulb, Edison developed the phonograph and the 'kinetoscope,' a small box for viewing moving films. He also improved upon the original design of the stock ticker, the telegraph, and Alexander Graham Bell's telephone. He believed in hard work, sometimes working twenty hours a day. Edison was quoted as saying, 'Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.' In tribute to this important American, electric lights in the United States were dimmed for one minute on October 21, 1931, a few days after his death." In our time, people are still skeptical about things that they do not understand. How do we respond to ideas coming from contemporary inventors, reports of UFO sightings or prophetic words from strangers? At this very moment in some inconspicuous place, there might be another "Thomas Edison," an "Abraham Lincoln" or another "Apostle Paul" who is about ready to fulfill their destiny. Will ordinary folks have the presence of mind to receive these special visitors when they arrive during this enlightened age of "sophistication" -- or will humankind continue to reject, mock and condemn the "unknown" as they have been guilty of doing in the past? Planet Earth is my Church, but not my home; I am only passing through! Please try to understand me if I happen to cross your path. Please don't wait until I'm gone to take me seriously! ................................................................................................................................................... Subject: DIVIDING LINE Author: E Date: 9/17/2002 7:26 am CST I made a 2-hour video message entitled "DIVIDING LINE" in 1999 -- and then I hand-delivered dozens of copies to the local media and to a few politicians. Since then, the "spiritual dividing line" has been taking shape worldwide through every family and through every community in every nation. "Sheep" are being divided from "goats." Those who stand with God are on the side of Truth -- and those who stand with Satan are on the side of false gods, false religions, false economic theory, false political philosophies and false systems of every kind -- all of which are saturated with deception, aggression, fear and violence. Even though my dividing line message was given, it has not been understood or publicized. As with all of my messages to the world, I give them freely. There are no copyrights or "schemes" designed for personal benefit. If you take a serious look around within your environment or at the daily news -- you will be able to identify those who are on opposing sides of the line. CHOOSE YOUR SIDE! Do you choose Capitalism or Socialism? The United Nations or America? President Bush
or liberal Demoncrats? Internationalism or patriotism? Muslim extremists or Christians? Terrorism against innocent people or a defensive war? Do your choose God or Satan? ................................................................................................................................................... HOMELAND INSECURITY CONSPIRACY By Tennessee Elijah Together, we are gathered together on this great Internet Battlefield, testing whether this American nation or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated is worthy of a peaceful and prosperous future. As we interact and communicate across this land where our fathers died to protect and preserve civil rights, there are mighty political warriors presently engaged in profound debates. On one hand, we have Republicans led by President George W. Bush who started a War Against Terrorism without provocation of any kind. Like the “landing on the Moon,” the so-called “9/11” New York tragedy never happened. Attacking peace-loving people in Afghanistan was a huge mistake. We can only hope that Usama and his wonderful supporters were able to escape into the sanctuaries of Pakistan, Iran and Iraq (possibly Africa) -- and will be able to continue their struggle to save the world from capitalistic tyranny. In recent weeks, we have heard outrageous comments regarding the need for a war against Iraq in an attempt to bring about a “regime change.” What kind of a horrible idea do we have here? Saddam Hussein is a wonderful, generous and wise leader of over millions of happy, wealthy people. We need to thank God that DemoncRATS Dasschole and Gepfhart are leading a revolt against the unpatriotic actions of those who are making false claims, suggesting that because of -- "nonexistent weapons of mass destruction” -- we all need to defend America against "imaginary enemies." The proposed “HOMELAND INSECURITY CONSPIRACY” has divided our great nation, confusing most voters who are sick and tired of our tax dollars being wasted on needless Republican schemes. The intelligent thing for Congress to do is to contradict everything Bush has to say -- or simply ignore, deny and delay him. If for some strange reason, the man in the White House is right about Usama or Saddam, we can always play dumb or apologize later. As we know, only a few million worthless people would die if there was a rash of unexpected suicide bombings, chemical, biological or nuclear attacks against America. We believe this is a risk worth taking! (NOTE: Is this satirical reverse psychology or what?) |
