Will The Real Elijah Please Stand Up? By Tennessee Elijah There are many people in this world who know how to read the Bible, and they know how to memorize verses. Reading and learning is a good thing to do if we apply Truth correctly as intended by God. There are many religious leaders who would like "me" to prove that "I" really come in the Spirit of Elijah within the context of scripture that they believe is relevant from their particular perspective on the Word. My response to them is best demonstrated by reminding doubters of what happened long ago. As most honest scholars understand, Jesus Himself used Holy Words in response to temptation by Satan -- when He was challenged to prove that He was the Son of God: "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him." Matthew 4:1-11 There are other verses to be found in the Bible that might be considered by those who lack faith: "Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe." John 4:48  -- "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Matthew 24:24 If people of all nations were asked if a man alive in this day could be the incarnation of Elijah the prophet, what would the majority believe? Would the existence of a man sent by God in the "Spirit of Elijah" be considered a "sign" or a "wonder?" Once it is determined by the "authorities" that the possibility of Elijah's return is based on valid interpretations of the Bible, what would their expectations for this "man" include? Why would God send Elijah back to Earth at this point in history? Today, as I was doing a limited web search, I discovered messages from a person that I've been aware of since my days on AOL. It seems that a visit was made to my home town of Nashville, Tennessee -- by this other person who believes he is a different "Elijah." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------            1 March, 2004 (A message from the Cyprus Elijah)               Brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ's Name, One day I went into the biggest Southern Baptist bible bookstore in Nashville, Tennessee in America. I began to talk about being led by the Holy Spirit and how I saw miracles happen in my walk over the years just as is written in His Word, and as liken what Peter, John, James and Paul had experienced in their walk with the Lord. Well, some of the unbelieving people in the store told the elders who ran the store of what I was being led to speak, so they had a guard there who then asked me to leave their store. Well, in a day or so I was led back into this store as a customer buying items I needed. But I did not stop talking about these miracles that happened in my life, that if one has faith to believe, they would happen in our Lord Jesus' Name. Well, they did not stop me this time, and some of their people working in the store or even a customer would come up to talk of these miracles that do happen if we believe they will, as written in Mark 16:17-18. Well, one day I came into this store and there was a group of older men there. I asked, Lord, What be these men? He said, Go up to ask a question of one of the oldest men standing there. So I walked up to this older white-haired gentleman and asked, Are you a preacher? Well, he said he was Reverend so and so of a baptist church. So I was given to say, Well sir, I have a question to ask you as a minister of His Word. When John the Baptist was baptizing the people in the Jordan River, he saw Jesus coming as the Lamb of God. In Luke 3:16 John said, I indeed baptize you with water but this Jesus the Son of God will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire, so sir, why are you still following John the Baptist in baptizing in water? He told you to follow this Jesus the Son of God baptizing with the Holy Ghost and with fire, as we read of Peter, John, and of Paul in His Word in Acts 2:38 to 47 and in Acts 4:31 to 37. It is written of the Holy Ghost and fire. Well, that older gentleman backed up as the truth of His Word hit him and I then left. The next day I came back into that Southern Baptist bible bookstore, and now there were books on the shelves about the Holy Ghost and fire for them to at least read, if they want to seek the truth. Elijah -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The Cyprus Elijah didn't get in touch with me during his visit. If he had, we might have been able to sort out the confusion. One of us was not sent to this planet in the Spirit of Elijah. Was it him or was it me -- or one of the other hundreds who like to use the "Elijah" name? Once we're able to reach a conclusion about who among us have been misled by the Evil One, we can then start focusing on the others who are using the name, claiming that God sent them to do a work during these end of days. Do we need a few signs and wonders to convince skeptics who might be wondering if "deceivers" are claiming to be Elijah? Do we need to take another trip to Mount Carmel to separate true prophets from false prophets before the Lord returns? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------             1 March, 2004 (A message from the Cyprus Elijah)               Dear Brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ's Name as Lord, Soon to happen: When the coming of Planet X or Niburu occurs, there will be a real time of trouble, with destruction upon the whole earth. Those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be called away in the First Resurrection as His reward, Revelation 22:11-12, to them written in Daniel 12:1. These are the redeemed of the Lord, the gentiles of this time as written of them in Romans 11:5, that small remnant left who are faithful to their calling, Mark 13:34-37, which is the fullness of the gentiles, Romans 8:28-29, those who remain in a saveable state, Romans 11:25. Then in this time of great trouble when the Sun shall turn to darkness and the moon into blood as written in Joel 2:30-31, there will be a gathering of a small remnant of Israelites back to their Land of Promise as written in His Word, Ezekiel 36:22 to 28 + 37:13 to 28 and that as written of them in Joel 2:29. He will pour His Holy Spirit in them as liken grass in a field, Zechariah 10:1, and they will be sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise as written of them in Galatians 3:28, Romans 11:24-25 and Romans 11:30 + 33 to 36. There will be two salvations for a remnant of the gentiles and of the Israelites. For the gentiles, they will be taken to where He is above and placed under the altar to wait through three and one half years until the Lord returns to take charge of the earth. Then you as a saint will return with the host of Heaven to fight against satan and his angels and defeat them all as written in Revelation 19:11 to 21 and Revelation 20:1-3. In that same appointed three and one half period, the Israelites will become a holy people in their Land of Promise, Revelation 11:3 to 6. Satan will have forty-two months to take charge and gather together this world full of rebellious people as written in Revelation 17:15 as part of this New World Order joined to this apostate one-world religion under the False prophet, the Pope of the Vatican. So he and his people will join with this anti-Christ son of perdition to go against the two witnesses and will fulfill what is written in Revelation 11:7 to 11. In that same hour a great earthquake will take place and then the rule of the Anti-Christ and his False prophet upon this earth will come to an end as written in His Word, Revelation 16:1-21 and then Revelation 19:11 to 21 and Revelation 20:1-3. Also, did God send this other "Elijah" to give us a new version of His Word? Regardless, I do find reason to agree with portions of his messages, and since it is not in my nature to debate Holy Words for the purpose of establishing my credentials, the parts that I find confusing will not be challenged at this time. I will simply leave this particular "Elijah" and all others in the hands of God. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------             3 March, 2004 (A message from the Cyprus Elijah)                Dear Brethren in Christ Jesus' Name, A life of complacency in reality is a back-sliding condition that so many used-to-be-saints are in. As written, the cares of this life have overcome those who were once alive but now are spiritually dead, as Laodicean-type Christians written in Revelation 3:14-16. We need to repent of all this and go back to our First Love as Jesus Christ, or He can remove our Holy Spirit from us, and then our name out of the Lamb's Book of life, Revelation 2:1 to 5. If we allow the lust of this life and the love of it to creep in, then we will not see His Kingdom soon to be taken where He is. All the real saints are waiting as His small bride remnant to come, the redeemed of the Lord as written in Daniel 12:1 to hear His Voice say, Come My very elect chosen, those faithful to hear His Voice, I Thessalonians 4:16 to 18 in the First Resurrection soon. Best check our selves out. Are we in a saveable state, and found doing His will each day when He calls? Mark 13:34 to 37. We do not want to hear Him say, I do not know you. It is a narrow way, that so few find it and more so remain in it until He calls.
