By Tennessee Elijah COMPUTERS open doors to the Internet around the world in a way that our ancestors would not have believed possible! In nearly every community in every nation, every person has access to this worldwide communication system -- either by using their own computer, computers owned by friends, schools, libraries or various government facilities. There are even Internet Chat Rooms linked from neighborhood coffee shops and other places of business for the convenience of their customers. With so many possibilities for "dialogue" between millions of people worldwide, how do most of us choose to use this privilege? Are we making a serious attempt to share information that can be beneficial to strangers who might happen to see the "words" we use to express our thoughts? Are we attempting to make new friends, share the positive aspects of our particular culture with strangers, teach and preach in order to challenge people to expand their intellect -- or are we behaving like fools, focusing on perverted sex, spreading rumors that destroy reputations, attempting to cheat others through unfair business practices or disturbing enemies by insulting them with these electronic tools that make instant communications possible? As a person who values honesty, civility, kindness and even humor on occasion, sitting down at my computer keyboard to engage in conversation in chat rooms has proven to be an experience that I choose to avoid most of the time. Too many people are spreading deception, exhibiting rudeness and turning our communication processes into a personal battle zone -- while venting anger and frustrations on unsuspecting recipients. If Internet chat rooms and message boards are an indication of what has become of the human soul in these historic times -- in general terms -- humankind has about reached the limit of what could be described as "sanity." Most web surfers are on the brink of going over the edge into the outer reaches of common sense -- beyond rationality -- where only idiots would dare to navigate through the insanity dominating corrupted thoughts. As for me, thank God, I have this web site to occupy my urge to engage in self-expression. The cost of this home based mission to reach the world with words happens to fit the budget of a poor prophet like me. Even so, I still have dreams of doing more than I'm doing at the present time. I wish I could publish my manuscripts, produce my music, make movies and do all of those things that other people do in order to get my messages out to every nation, but I lack the millions of dollars it requires to make dreams like mine come true. Since I have not been led by God to start a church or be a TV evangelist -- and since I am not prone to beg for assistance from others -- I will continue doing what I do and just wait patiently for God's will to be done in my Life. Regardless of my ability to dream, His plans might be more effective than anything I could do even if I had the money. |
Each of us who live in poverty or obscurity are probably wishing that we were rich
enough to do those things that we think would make us happier. In my case, I
tend to think of "money" as the other "god" that so many people choose to serve.
If we were to be honest about it though, money can be used for good or evil.
When we choose to honor Jesus by the way we use our money -- then we have done
a good thing. In other words, buying food for a starving person is something that Christians with extra money like to do. As only one out of millions of folks who have more time than money, it is not possible for me to give notable financial gifts to others -- even though it is in my heart to do so. Considering we have about 6,000,000,000 people alive on Planet Earth at the present time, if EJC Anonymous Volunteers had interest, they might be able to reach 10,000,000 lost souls by sharing copies of my PROCLAMATION message on a CD. My unpublished manuscript MIDNIGHT SUNLIGHT might be a profitable adventure for a Christian publisher who might decide to share profits after taxes to make creation of the Elijah Lifestyle Center a possibility -- before Jesus is back on Earth! After paying my debts, sharing with family members and friends to make their lives better, my intent would be to reach out to nations with Truth in a larger way than I've ever been able to do. I would be sending messages out to many nations in every way possible. My desires for personal benefits might include a motorhome full of electronic "tools" needed to continue web activities? My family and I might take journeys to places where people like you live. It would be fun to sit down on your front step to share coffee and cookies while talking about our mutual love for Jesus. Maybe if God wanted to send down a blessing, we might even get to enjoy chicken strips or pizza when talking about the wonderful experiences we will be enjoying during eternity in the Kingdom of God. Yes, we all have dreams -- and we all have a desire to communicate! We want others to understand how we think and why we do things the way we do. Let's make the most of our "electronic" opportunities while we still have time! Life on Earth as we know it is rapidly coming to an end for those few we know and those millions who remain strangers. If you care about getting in touch with lost souls, tell them to get on this web site as soon as possible! Take a minute and click this: May God be with you! |

My son and I spend many hours together in this room where I use the computer to surf
the web most days -- while he stays busy doing his homework from school or
reading a favorite book. Of course, "Mom" and Harrison take their turns at the
keyboard whenever they want to do something in cyberspace. |
